THE ADVENTURE COST IS $199 PER PERSON
The minimum age for the adventure is 12, and under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Please note that you can use your own camping gear or hire through us.
A minimum of two people are required per tour and 72 hours’ booking notice is required to secure our water taxi booking.

Approximately 5-10 minutes.
Yes, it is helpful as you are hiking from Te Akau Wharf to the campsite. We recommend a 65-litre backpack, as once we disembark the water taxi, we have a 30-40 minute, 1.5km hike through the bush and along the beach. We have packs you can borrow.
Yes, the minimum age for the adventure is 12, and under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
We provide a toilet (long drop) and 1.5-litre bottle of water for $2 a bottle. The site is a privately owned native bush/forest with cleared campsites dotted across the land.
We currently run adventures overnight on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Adventures are weather-dependent.

Yes, you are welcome to explore!
No. If the tide is low or mid, the water is too far away from where the kayaks are stored. It would be a 500m – 1km pull in the mud!
Yes, most nights, we light a fire, provided that it’s not raining.
Yes, you can. Tents, sleeping mats, gas burners, gas bottles, head torches, etc. are available. Please note that these run out fast, so please prebook.
Yes, we do, but only if it is not too windy (very windy weather makes for unsafe and unenjoyable kayaking). We will take you on a guided tour over to the limestone rocks directly across from us and explore Ponganui Creek to the small waterfall. The creek is great fun to explore, and you’ll be amazed at where it leads.
This depends on the water taxi owner and if they have other bookings. We aim, if possible, to arrive at the campsite a couple of hours before high tide for use of the kayaks at high tide and try to work times around this aspect. Please note that a minimum of 72 hours is required to make a booking.
